We are on week 2 of social distancing and it almost feels like its summer vacation since we are cooking, watching movies, playing board games, and more! But now since it’s been a full week of only being with our family, we are starting to feel that cabin fever. It’s totally normal to feel a bit claustrophobic and anxious. This also could go on for weeks so we have some ideas of how you can handle this time and stay sane.
Move
There are ton’s of companies who are doing Facebook Lives, online workouts, and more! Check out your favorite studios and see if they are providing classes. Also, YouTube is full of them as well. We also think doing stretches is great as well. This YouTube video is something great to do!
2. COOK
There is no better time to cook new recipes, learn new cooking skills, and involve your kids! This is a great time to get frozen veggies and fruits since they won’t go bad as fast.
3. NETFLIX WATCH PARTY
I think we are all really missing our friends and family. This is a great way to interact with them! Google Chrome just came out with an extension that allows you to watch Netflix with anyone remotely – there’s even a chat box.
4. ORGANIZE
We are taking this time to organize and do all the things around the house we never have time to do. Amazon has a variety of items you can buy to help keep your place tidy. Magic Art of Tidying Up is also the perfect book to buy to find ways to organize your life!
5. ORGANIZE
Even though we have to be inside doesn’t mean you cannot get some vitamin D. Hang in your backyard! Go on a long walk (be sure to avoid people). Plus, the vitamin D has a lot of health benefits, including regulating mood and warding off depression.
